Quarantine Shortened, No PU Needed to Enter China Now!

Good news! China is gradually relaxing entry policies!

How do you know?

1. No PU needed

Now those who come to China for work or for family reunions no longer additional PU letter!

They can now apply for Chinese visas with certificate of vaccination, work permit notice, proof of family relationship and other valid materials.

2. Shortened quarantine period at entry points

At least 5 cities in China, including Beijing, Changzhou, and Xuzhou, appeared to have shortened quarantine time for international arrivals on trial basis.

PCR tests and antigen tests must be taken as required during the quarantine period.

*Reminder: the policies can be updated every now and then be adjusted based on the epidemic's situation.

  • Beijing

10-day centralized quarantine + 7-day home quarantine

10-day centralized quarantine + 7-day self-health monitoring

(Macao Special Administrative Region announced in a government notice, additionally, Macao's Chief Executive Ho Iat-seng recently announced that Macao will try to follow evaluation work and implement a similar 7+7 trial run, Global Times reported.)

  • Sichuan

10-day centralized quarantine + 7-day home quarantine

  • Nanjing

(trial till June 17)

7-day centralized quarantine (4 PCR) + 7-day home quarantine (3 PCR)

(Global Times reached city hotline of Nanjing and confirmed such an adjustment.)

  • Xuzhou

7-day centralized quarantine + 7-day home quarantine

  • Changzhou

7-day centralized quarantine + 7-day home quarantine

  • Ningbo

10-day centralized quarantine + 7-day home quarantine

  • Wuhan

7-day centralized quarantine + 7-day home quarantine

Currently, other landing ports in China, including Guangzhou, Xiamen, Chengdu, Ji'nan and Dalian keep implementing the 14+7 or 10+7 quarantine measures, according to Global Times.
